What’s in a name?
My name is Dave Van Aert (pronounced VAN ART). I am an artist and graphic designer with over 25 years of industry experience. When it came to naming the business, my last name was the perfect fit. "Van" literally means "from" in Dutch, and the "AeRT + Design" is pretty self explanatory. Coincidently "Van" also represents our Greater Vancouver location.
Since opening my doors back in 2009, I have designed marketing materials for brands such as: Beringer, Chateau St. Jean, Henkell, Hollister, Lindeman's, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Mission Hill Family Estate, Nintendo, Okanagan Cider, Painted Turtle, Palm Bay, Penfolds, Rockstar Vodka, Rodney Strong Vineyards, Rosemount Estate, Stags' Leap Winery, Stanley Park Brewing, Stoli Vodka, Wolf Blass, and many more.
You’ve probably noticed that Van AeRT Design specializes in (among other things) point-of-sale creative and packaging for the alcoholic beverage industry. I have a strong background in designing marketing for retail stores and special events. For eleven years I led a team of designers and production artists in creating point-of-sale campaigns for Nintendo Canada, at one of B.C.'s largest design firms.
I collaborate with other designers to meet the needs of individual projects and campaigns, while personally overseeing the creative development. EXPERIENCE
We have extensive experience creating captivating point-of-sale materials (neck tags, shelf talkers, posters, cut case cards), brochures, logos, magazine ads, menus, invitations, sell sheets, packaging, banners, out-of-home advertising, digital signage/animation, and online advertising.
